TuffFilter is a high-flow, single-cartridge pool filter designed for tight equipment pads, fast installs and straightforward servicing. Its compact vertical footprint delivers 200 sq. ft. of filtration and flow up to 150 GPM, without the bulk of a traditional multi-cartridge system.
A tool-free twist-lock lid makes cartridge access fast, while multiple inlet and outlet positions give installers greater flexibility when plumbing new systems or retrofitting existing pads. Two inlets and two outlets, positioned on different faces, mean you can bring the plumbing in from whichever side the existing pad allows, instead of re-routing pipe to suit the filter. Unions come in 1.5" and 2". The compact vertical body drops into the footprint a sand filter or older cartridge unit leaves behind, and the twist-lock lid needs clear headroom rather than clear space all the way around.

Ports on different faces let you bring the plumbing in from whichever side the existing pipework allows, with 1.5" and 2" unions in the box, so there's less re-routing on a retrofit. The Hurricane HF8412-01, a 200 sq. ft. purple antimicrobial cartridge. We chose a widely cross-referenced cartridge on purpose, so replacements are available through major US retail rather than only from us.
Not always, and we'd rather say so. Larger multi-cartridge systems buy you longer intervals between cleans if you have the pad space and the debris load to justify them. TuffFilter wins where pad space, access and service time are the constraint.
