No. The battery is sealed inside the housing - there are no AAs to pull out at 2am. The reset button is the only control they can reach.
Dry the tray, then press the reset button on the top of the unit. The LED returns to green. No tools and no service call.
There's a mechanical safety catch and a manual override, plus a USB-C input (5V DC, 0.5A) as backup power if it's ever needed.
