So far, so good! I built a floating deck on top of a decomposite granite patio using TuffBlocks and it was easy to level them. So far they've been easy to work with and seem very sturdy.
Ray F.
Tuffblocks were exactly as advertised! Strong, easy to use, and helped save me tons of time and energy building the frame of our deck! Website videos and tutorials made this an easy process for my first deck build! Thanks very much!
Brett F.
Worked fine, simple and accurate.
Jae B.
Great blocks! Decided to use Tuff Blocks instead of Camo blocks since Tuff has smaller footprint.
Haven’t installed them yet since I am still waiting for HOA approval on my <200sq deck…
Mark G.
Used for a free standing 10x10 deck to house my gazebo. Worked out great.
Trevor B.
They were so easy to use and my new floating deck feels so solid! I’d definitely use them again.
Michael M.
So much easier than the concrete blocks. Put my 2x6 joists directly on the Tuffblocks. Leveled with some crushed gravel.
Michael W.
TuffBlock made my project so much easier and quicker to build the base for my shed and surrounding deck.
Michael D.
These Tuffblocks are awesome! Lightweight but strong. In designing low level platforms for landscaping I discovered many uses for these. One can think outside the box in using Tuff Blocks!
Amanda S.
We have never built a deck before and after doing research on YouTube and finding Tough Blocks, we decided we could do this. These have truly made it so much easier. No need for concrete footings. We’ve been using the paver base to level underneath them and so far, we are half framed and everything is level and stable. These are awesome! What a great product. We highly recommend them especially for the DIY home owner. They make it easy and there are plenty of tutorials.
Robert D R.
I ordered TuffBlock because of the weight. They use recycled plastic. And most importantly they’re made in the USA. When I received my order I was pleasantly surprised with the design and quality of the product. Haven’t started this project yet but soon. Building a low deck around a recently purchased hot tub. Will send pictures when it’s finished.
Janet D.
These were so easy to use. Hardest part was getting the ground level.
Ernie L.
Project is to extend our front porch with A ground deck at the same level likely not until summer 2025
John M.
Eastiest deck build ever with Tuffblock. No digging, no concrete or heavy blocks. Highly recommend.
Ronald S.
Amazing product!!
John M.
Easiest deck I ever built. No digging, no concrete or heavy deck blocks.
Alexsander D.
Amazing product. It just works.
Mark R.
Great way to quickly level a floor for a shed. Will always return back to tuffblock for ease of use!
Thomas S.
old roof deck repair. prior contractor build this deck on top of PTO membrane and started digging into the membrane. tuff block is allowing up the raise up the deck and able to suport this roof deck.
Michael C.
Works perfect for my situation.
Anne S.
Built a dock for the pond. Worked well for what I needed.
Dave K.
Makes deck building so much easier.
David R.
I learned about Tuffblocks from a neighbor (his video is now posted on the Tuffblock site) who used the blocks to do a boardwalk. As I had various elevations, this seemed the perfect answer. Also, as a self taught DIY'er, they are allowing me to do a little and adjust as needed. Very happy with the product. Wish I had listened better and watched more videos but still moving forward in a way I could never have without such a versatile product. My ultimate goal is a boardwalk from three or four directions that all flow into a circular area (DG) with a firepit in the center. While I understand now why some contractors suggested tearing out and starting fresh, there is something satisfying about making it work with what was there.
George and Ninel L.
It worked out great for our floating deck project. It beats lugging around cement blocks!
Steve H.
These worked great, very convenient. Had some issues with ruff cut lumber 2x8.
We had to trim some off of the lumber to fit the 2” slot. They were cut 2 1/8. All worked out and they had a few lookers who haven’t seen them before. They thought they was a great idea.
Megan E.
They work great we till have 2 more decks to build with the last order any deck projects we would recommend these we have used over 100 pieces so far
Fantastic product!!!!!
Chelsea K.
First deck ever built. A wonderful experience with the help of TuffBlocks!
Paul W.
Easy to use. They work great and give a nice firm foundation.
Marc M.
Excellent product! Easy to work with. I built a 12 x 12 floater and I could not be happier. It has been in operation for over a year and the deck has not budged. Rock solid. Highly recommend!
wesley W.
The tuff block are very strong and easy to use. They made the foundation and framing process move quick and time is money.
Daniel R.
These worked out amazing. Way easier to move around then concrete. Deck is rock solid
Tim R.

Butch P.
Great Service, Great Product. I Love the simplicity of using TuffBlock.
Robert D.
Built a floating deck next to our camper using tuffblocks. Way easier than using the concrete blocks. I needed the deck as low as I could get it. The 4x4 fit nice and tight into the tuffblocks.
Sarah
Made making a ground level deck so much easier
DAVID B.
Worked great once I got the product.Easy to use
Geeorge S.
Very easy to use and cut a lot for time
Brian M.
Built a 24 x 13 ground level deck. Tuffblock was easy to use, leveled blocks and laid joist and stringers with ease.
Steven F.
Used building a 18" X 22" floating deck. Worked great.
Melony P.
Tuff blocks were very easy to use and I’d highly recommend them for your project.
Michael Z.
Building an 18x25 ft deck under large bur oaks. Cannot disturb the root zone so tuff block was only option. Also only have 8.5 inches from ground to French door so again Tuff block on a 2x6 joist and inch decking. Used crushed limestone as a base material to help level each block. Decking is next.
robert h.
So much easier to work with, will send more pics as project progress's
Taylor B.
The customer service was excellent the lightness of the material was impressive and easy to work with
Richard C.
Great product, easy to use, saves time without waiting for concrete to cure. Love them.
Carlos S.
This is a great product. Easy to use
Kristine C.
Worked great! 69 and 72 yr old sisters built an 8x8 platform for an inflatable spa in a day! Added the deck boards next day. Planning to build another platform for a storage shed.
John C.
Easy to work with used 8 leveled a firewood storage structure
Jacqueline
Love these as an option for deck framing. So glad I don’t have to dig holes!! Arrived quickly and I even like that they reuse boxes for shipping to save the planet.

my project is to convert an empty RV shed into my new woodworking shop. the basic layout was a 16' x 30' space with a 2.5' dropoff from front right to back left corner -- after looking at a couple of youTube vids, i choose TuffBlocks for the foundation -- first, i had to create 28 holes in the asphalt for the TuffBlocks -- leveled the spaces with paver base -- and used a laser to set the height of the 2x6 beams -- TuffBlock spacing was 5' between rows, a little less between individual tuff blocks -- result was a perfectly level floor -- drop a golf ball on it and it goes nowhere -- floor is very stable and secure -- best part of the tuff block experience was the incredible customer support i received as i worked my way through the creation of the foundation -- i do woodworking, not construction -- the support and guidance i received was a critical element in the final success of this part of the project.
i recommend TuffBlocks without reservation -- not related by blood or marriage to anyone at TuffBlocks
Nadine G.
Using these bases was the easiest part
Chris L.
Lots of projects around the house including, adding on to the deck, a greenhouse and an elevated Walkway. Having Tuffblocks makes it extremely easy to store and carry to the project. Initially I was buying concrete post holders. The price is a fraction of a difference, but way too many Cons when using concrete. Tuffblocks are exact diameter throughout. No chissiling or leveling required for Tuffblocks like concrete. If you drop a concrete block on your foot, the project is going to have to wait until that broken toe heals. Tuffblock is way lighter and drops are no big thing.
Frank K.
Used these blocks for a shed base and worked perfectly
David T.
First time I have used these to build a deck and they worked really well. My only comment while installing was that I wish it had a small level adjustment. Maybe 1” adjustment would’ve helped level the deck frame much easier
David T.
They work just as I hoped! Deck is solid and stable.
John K.
They worked very well. After figuring how to level the 1st one, went very smoothly. And I built deck on a hill
Brian H.
You can't see them, but the tuff blocks were used to stabilize a large framed platform for a 20'x8' shed, on unlevel ground. If not for the tuff blocks, it would have taken twice as long to complete the foundation for the shed. I would definitely recommend the use of tuff blocks for anyone considering building a deck, or foundation on their next project.
Paul C.
For me Tuffblocks were a game changer. For a small--16' x 14'--floating deck if I would've had to use posts, as I have in the past, I probably wouldn't have done the job. But the Tuffblocks were simple to use and seem to serve the purpose. Good product--thank you.
John T.
Best idea ever! I purchased 24 and have plans to build a 12x12 storage shed, then 2 wood sheds to keep my firewood dry. This will save me time and money on foundations. Thank you for the abundance of videos simplifying the use of tuffblocks.
John M.
Blocks made my first time deck build a breeze
Jess H.
Super easy to use. Great customer service and fast shipping. Would absolutely use this product again!!
BRUCE P.
I ordered a case of 24 found out they would not work for
My installation notified the co for a ra number got a machine never returned my call now of course it’s over 30 the product seems to have merit the company
Not so much
Alan Q.
These work great! They really make it easy to build a ground level deck. The ground doesn't have to be perfectly level it's easy to level the deck frame with 4"x4" blocks notched out. Very solid.
John M.
Very nice product . Made my deck project super easy. Buy this , you will be glad you did
thomas f.
Very good product made my life very easy
Rob H.

Tuffblock is the best choice for lower decking. I love to use this product, it works just as described.
Darrel L.
These are the greatest thing since sliced bread!!
I can't express how great these blocks are. Using the Tuffblocks was by far the best decision I made when deciding what support system to use for my 8'x15' shed deck floor. It was so easy to move all the blocks I needed with one arm full and not have to deal with either pouring concrete footings or try to level solid blocking below my 4x4 posts. These blocks are vary versatile and can even interlock and stack if needed.
Neia H.
We used TuffBlocks as the base for two platforms that we've built our huge sheds on. Much easier than a bunch of heavy cement blocks (built by a couple of ladies)! So far they're holding up great.
12'x16' platform with a 12' high shed and an 8'x24' platform with an 16'x16' outbuilding and connected 8'x8' covered deck.
We found out about TuffBlocks from a Matt Risinger shed build on YouTube.
Robert C.
Tree removal and tear out of pavers began in the Summer of 2023 after of which I began the removal of numerous invasive roots from a nearby oak tree. Once the area was cleared, I removed about 20 yards of soil, rebuilt the 2 sump pump basins and brought in 3 tons of crushed limestone.
Construction of the deck began late Dec 2023. Work was put off several times due the weather, injury, re-orders and other commitments. Because we were limited to 2x4 joists, I ended up purchasing 6 boxes of TuffBlock to insure proper spacing and load distribution. All wood was pressure treated (ground contact). Butyl Deck Tape was applied to all joist before decking went down.
It was a lot of work but I am happy it’s done! The deck will get stained in 3 months.

There's nothing bad I can say about them. Super light weight, strong, shallow, and can be modified to fit whatever application you need them for. I'd use them for my next project.
Matt
Perfect for what I wanted. Shallow and super strong and light. You can modify it with an oscillating saw to fit your doubled 2x’s.
william
Universal footer for decks and outbuilding structures
Dan
Way to much cost
Product is ok
Carlos S.
First time using this product and so far so good. It’s easy to install
Tom W.
Very easy to use to level the floor. Didn’t have to wait for cement to set up and cut posts. Had the floor finished and ready to build in a few hours
Brooks H.
Continue to use Tuff blocks. The ease of use has been great. I would like it better for my use if there were options for the 2" T to be directed both ways. Instead of one side 1" and one side 2". Perhaps that could be done in future productions.
karen w.
I haven’t used them yet as it is still winter but it looks like they are actually 4x4” so I will have to get lumber milled to fit them. I was hoping to use pressure treated 4x4’s but they aren’t the full size so they won’t fit.
Brooks H.
Have ordered repeatedly. Have used them in a large foundational support system for a barn refurbishment. Hopefully they stand the test of time. Very easy to use and I love the light weight.
Michael Z.
I purchased two 24 packs during a winter sale. Will not attempt a deck until Spring. I like the videos and possibilities and will do a ground deck near some large bur Oaks and cannot disturb the root zone. I pray for the best.
Beau K.
I use Tuff Blocks on every shed I build for my shed business!
William B.
I'm sorry Oliver but the project has been delayed and I haven't used the blocks yet. I will let you know when it happens but they look to be just what I need.
Thanks
Billy in Texarkana, Arkansas

Using in probably would be considered unconventional, but secured four 4x4 corner posts on a concrete pad with Simpson plates, then for the other 7 posts supporting the 10x12 greenhouse structure, used TuffBlocks. Still under construction but so Sat so good. Will try to submit the finished project, but TuffBlocks may not be visible by then. TuffBlocks made it super easy to set the inner posts. Was initially planning to put a floor in and us TuffBlocks for floor joists, but now planning on a gravel base inside the greenhouse so no worries when watering plants, or critters building a home under the floor.
Christopher T.
With little construction experience, I was able to manage building a 32'x32' deck in a matter of days (and some help from a kind neighbor). It made leveling much easier and the proper placement was easy to adjust as the build continued. Much more manageable than concrete blocks.
Ronnie D.
I ordered 6 of these from the website and they were delivered quickly. They seem to be very well made and were boxed securely. I have not had time to start the project yet but test fitted them with a true 4x4 post I had rough cut out of cedar and they fit like a glove.
Brooks H.
I love that there lightweight and strong enough to avoid the heavy lifting of cement block.
Donald T.
I used tuff blocks for a 12’x12’ floating deck I secured the blocks by tamping paver base then leveling and laying 2”x8” joists Once the frame was screwed in I covered with decking. So easy no real digging and no concrete. The weight of the deck on the secured tuff blocks resulted in a stable level deck. Will definitely use tuff blocks in any future deck plans. What a time and labor saver!
Joseph D.
I used TuffBlocks for a low profile deck to extend an existing porch with sleeper joist framing. Still in progress.
Gerrit V.
I have not started my new project, but will send some progress photos when i start and the completed project.
Michele S.
This is a great product! We built a floating deck and found the blocks sturdy & so easy to use
Tom D.
Solid floating one step deck foundation.
Jeff
Built a low cedar deck with these and it works great! Whisk I could attach photos but don’t hesitate, great product.
