Box arrived timely and in good condition. I am happy with the quality and can think of several uses for these tuff blocks. I have not started any outdoor projects this month, but am looking forward to having a new tool to work with. I am 80 years old, so prefer not to mess with digging and concrete. I think I can meet most of my objectives with these.

When I try something new I will often do a lot of research first. I’ve built decks before, but always used concrete foundations and header connections. This project had many buried utilities, drainage, and water lines beneath the intended deck location. After much reading and research I opted to go with the Tuff Block platforms. It still takes work in preparing the base, but once that is done it is quick and easy to place and level the Tuff Block and get to framing. Everything went smoothly, so I am now in the “time will tell” phase as to how they hold up. But everything I have seen so far makes me glad I went with the Tuff Block solution.

Actually haven't started my project yet. Waiting for the hot tub to be delivered and installed THEN I'll start on my 10'×24' deck with a standard step height of 7". A second deck will be 14" in height and 10'×6' platform for ease of entering and exiting the tub.

Because our 10' x 5' shed is on a property easement, our county required it to be easily moved if utility access is needed (it will never happen). TuffBlocks was an excellent solution for this. They are great to work with, easily leveled, strong (overkill in this project), and durable. This is my second project with TuffBlocks. Several years ago I built a low deck that has remained firm, stable, and level.

Probably added more blocks than needed but plan on putting something heavy on top. Once you have the tuffblocks level it works out perfectly. It was nice not having to dig posts and I was limited in that capacity due to being on septic. Love it so far and decking will be completed soon for the 12 x 8 ft framing.

I did want to take this opportunity to ask you a question. The reason that I chose this product was because I have sprinkler lines in the ground where the new deck will be placed. In speaking with a trex expert, he cautioned me
Against placing the tuff blocks on top of the irrigation lines. We do plan to put a hot tub on the deck, and he had said that the tuff block supports would eventually crush those lines.
Do you have any suggestions with regard to how to prevent this from happening if I have to put a tuff block over those lines? I was considering placing a flat steel plate over them and under the tough block to distribute the weight, but i'm not sure if that's the right way to go? I would appreciate any suggestions that you could share. Thank you,

TuffBlocks made building the foundation of our greenhouse so much simpler than any other method would have been, especially on a slope next to the house, where no digging was possible.
The TuffBlocks were installed on reinforced concrete pads, and a laser level was used to measure the 4x4 risers below the 4x4 base frame.
The end result is excellent - very sturdy, and a great addition to our home.

Using the floating TuffBlock foundation system not only kept our mature tree root system from sustaining damage but also provided the truly low-profile look we were going for.
